Here are the most "Frequently Asked Questions" we have received about our Forest School Programme. If your question is not answered here, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Where will the Programme be held?
Forest School programmes will be held in the Enchanted Woodland which is situated at the base of Temple Hill Estate, Dartford, Kent, DA1 5JX. The woodland comprises 3.5 acres of naturally-grown indigenous species which provides a much-needed, open-access green space within Dartford’s urban surroundings. However, the flexibility of Forest School, allows for other venues to be utilised, subject to suitability.
Who will be leading the Programme?
Forest School sessions will be led by at least one qualified OCN (Open College Network) Level 3 Forest School Practitioner with enhanced CRB check and full First Aid qualification.
How long is a Forest School Programme?
Each Programme is tailored to suit the individual group but, typically, will cover one day a week over a 10 week span.
What about Health and Safety?
All areas utilised by the Forest School Programme will be risk assessed prior to each session with stringent health and safety rules applied. Each child will be required to provide a detailed consent form which will be carried by the practitioner on site. A qualified First Aider will be on site at each session.
What about the Weather?
Forest School sessions are held in all weathers, except for high winds and storms. Children are asked to dress appropriately with wet weather macs, trousers and boots if appropriate.
