Woodland Rangers

Our volunteer Woodland Rangers care for the wood on a daily basis, providing a stable presence in the area. Having built a team of volunteers we can ensure the viability of the woodland into the future.

Rangers can get involved in plant surveys, bulb, shrub and tree planting, path clearance and maintenance, and provide a supporting presence within the wood. They also help organise events and community activity days, all going towards a great way to enjoy a natural woodland.

Finding us is easy

Finding the Enchanted Woodland is easy when you have a map and instructions.

Whether you come by foot, use the buses or travel by car you'll soon be in the woodland with us.

And you'll be made most welcome.

Looking for a volunteering opportunity with young people?

Join us every Tuesday and help make the Young Woodland Rangers Group a place where all will want to go!

We work with young people from 8 years upwards – showing them Woodland ways, using tools such as loppers and saws, creating a leisure space on their doorstep of which they can all be proud.
